Bangkok Airways is a regional airline based in Bangkok, Thailand. It is the first privately-owned airline and a frequent winner of industry awards, Bangkok Airways describes itself as “Asia’s Boutique Airline”. The airline began its scheduled services in 1986. Initially named Sahakol Air, the airline changed its name to Bangkok Airways in 1989.
The airline has its primary hub at Suvarnabhumi Airport, and its secondary hubs are at Phuket International Airport and Chiang Mai International Airport.

As of January 2023, Bangkok Airways operates the following aircraft: 9 Airbus A320, 16 Airbus A319, 13 ATR 72-600.
Bangkok Airways offers two types of classes on its planes: Economy Class and Blue Ribbon Class (Business Class).
