Copa Airlines is a leading Latin American airline offering more than 300 daily scheduled flights in 75 destinations in 31 countries within North, Central and South America and the Caribbean from its Panama City hub. 

Today the airline operates flights to a number of destinations in the U.S. and Canada including Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Denver (DEN), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Las Vegas (LAS), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), Montreal (YUL), New Orleans (MSY), New York City (JFK), Orlando (MCO), San Francisco (SFO), Tampa (TPA), Toronto (YYZ), and Washington, D.C. (IAD) as well as to other destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Copa Airlines has codeshar agreement with the following airlines: Air Europa, Air France, Asiana Airlines, Avianca, Azul Brazilian Airlines, Emirates, EVA Air, Gol Transportes Aéreos, Iberia, KLM, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines.

Copa has one of the youngest and most modern fleets in the region. As of September 2021, Copa Airlines operates a fleet, currently comprising 141 aircraft. Copa Airlines' fleet consists of 2 Boeing 737-100, 22 Boeing 737-200, 20 Boeing 737-700, 69 Boeing 737-800, 13 Boeing 737 MAX 9, 15 Embraer ERJ-190.

Copa Airlines offers two classes of services: Economy Class and Business Class.

Copa Airlines has Copa Club. It is the membership airport lounge program of Copa Airlines jointly operated with United Airlines. Copa Club lounge is located in its hub at Tocumen International Airport, Panama City, Panama. Copa Airlines joined Star Alliance on June 2012.

Copa Airlines was founded in 1947 as the National Airline of Panama. It began operations with flights to three cities in Panama on Douglas DC-3/C47 planes. By 1966, the airline boasted three weekly flights to San Jose, Costa Rica, which was its first international destination. In 1969, the first AVRO 748 was introduced for flights to Kingston in Jamaica, Managua in Nicaragua and Barranquilla in Colombia. In the 70s Medellin, Cartagena, San Salvador and Guatemala became part of the expanding network of destinations. 

For the year 2005, the airline incorporated flights to Cancun in Mexico, Sao Paulo in Brazil, San Andres in Colombia, Tegucigalpa in Honduras, and Orlando, Los Angeles and New York in the United States. In the same year, Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings S.A., began trading on the New York Stock Exchange, becoming the third Latin American airline to be listed on this important exchange.

Copa Airlines launches its own loyalty program in 2015: ConnectMiles, designed to strengthen Copa’s relationship with its frequent flyers. In the same year, Copa Airlines acquires its 100th airplane which confirms the Panamanian region’s status. Begins service to New Orleans in the United States and David in Panama.

Copa Airlines holds 3-Star Airline status from Skytrax for the quality of its airport and onboard product and staff service. Product rating includes seats, amenities, food & beverages, IFE, cleanliness etc, and service rating is for both cabin staff and ground staff.
