Kenya Airways is the flag carrier airline of Kenya. The airline's head office is located in Embakasi, Nairobi, with its hub at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

The airline became a member of SkyTeam in June 2010 and is also a member of the African Airlines Association since 1977.

Kenya Airways is flying to 56 destinations worldwide – 46 of which are in Africa – and carries over four million passengers annually. It continues to modernize its fleet, with its 34 aircraft being some of the newest in Africa. This includes its flagship B787 Dreamliner aircraft. 
As of October 2022, the fleet consists of the following aircraft: 9 Boeing 787-8 - Dreamliner, 8 Boeing 737-800, 2 Boeing 737-300F and 15 Embraer E190.

Kenya Airways services London, Amsterdam, Guangzhou, Sharjah, Mumbai and over 25 intra-Africa routes in addition to its passenger network. The onboard service is renowned and the lie-flat business class seat on the wide-body aircraft is consistently voted among the world’s top 10. Kenya Airways takes pride in being at the forefront of connecting Africa to the World and the World to Africa through its hub at the new ultra-modern Terminal 1A at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.

In 2020 KQ was named Africa’s Leading Airline by the World Travel Awards. 

Kenya Airways is Certified by Skytrax as a 3-Star Airline for the quality of its airport and onboard product and staff service. Product rating includes seats, amenities, food & beverages, IFE, cleanliness etc, and service rating is for both cabin staff and ground staff.

Kenya Airways celebrated 45 years of operation in January 2022.
