WestJet Airlines is a Canadian airline founded in 1994. In 1996, Clive Beddoe and a team of like-minded partners started WestJet with 3 aircraft, 5 destinations and 220 friendly WestJetters. It began as a low-cost alternative to the country's competing major airlines. Today under the slogan 'Owners Care to Love where you're going' WestJet operates 5 different aircraft types flyինգ to more than 100 destinations in North America, Central America, The Caribbean and Europe. 14,000 WestJetters are dedicated to flying more than 22 million guests a year, on over 700 flights per day, with a fleet of over 101 aircraft.
WestJet grounded its four Boeing 767-300ER aircraft in July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A year later, the airline announced that these aircraft would be sold to Amazon.
As of December 2025, WestJet is developing a modern fleet consisting of 35 Boeing 737-700, 50 Boeing 737-800, 43 Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 7 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

WestJet offers Business, Premium and Economy cabins. F&B is complimentary on long-haul flights, and Business delivers a good experience. Some routes use older, less comfortable Boeing 767 planes.
