Airport
Countres / Cyprus / Airport

Cyprus’s strategic location between Europe and the Middle East makes its airports important hubs for tourism, business, and cultural exchange.

Cyprus is served by three international airports, though official entry into the Republic of Cyprus is possible only through Larnaca International Airport (LCA) and Paphos International Airport (PFO). There is also one disused airport, leaving the island with three currently active aviation facilities:

  • Larnaca Glafcos Clerides International Airport (LCA)
  • Paphos International Airport (PFO)
  • Ercan International Airport (ECN)

Larnaca International Airport (LCA) is the largest and busiest airport in Cyprus and one of the most significant aviation hubs in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Paphos International Airport (PFO) serves as the gateway to western Cyprus and the legendary shores of Aphrodite. It supports travel to Paphos, Coral Bay, Polis, and surrounding coastal resorts. PFO is smaller than Larnaca but well-equipped and highly efficient, especially during the summer season.

Airlines operating at PFO include Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2.com, TUI Airways, Wizz Air, Transavia, and various seasonal European carriers.

Ercan International Airport (ECN) is the main airport serving northern Cyprus. Due to international regulations, all arrivals and departures operate exclusively with a stopover in Turkey.

Cyprus maintains strong air connections with:

Europe: UK, Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Scandinavia, Baltic.

Middle East: Israel, Jordan, UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon.

Seasonal routes: Expanded summer connections to major leisure markets across Europe.

In Magelline’s view, the airports of Cyprus are not merely gateways — they are the first warm breath of an island shaped by sun, myth, and sea.
Larnaca greets passengers with a calm Mediterranean glow, while Paphos opens the door to ancient stories and coastal dreams. Together, they bring the world closer to the timeless heart of Cyprus.
