Air Transat

Air Transat is a Canadian airline based in Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 1986. Air Transat is owned and operated by Transat A.T. Inc., a leading integrated international tourism company specializing in holiday travel and offering vacation packages, hotel stays and air travel.

Air Transat has a fleet of 37 planes, mostly Airbus A321 or A330 models. The airline operates scheduled and charter flights serving 60 destinations in 25 countries. Also, some destinations are provided all year round by the airline. During the summer season, its main destinations are Europe and in the winter season, the Caribbean, Mexico, the United States, and Central America, though the airline operates many year-round flights to Europe from its Toronto and Montreal bases. Its main Canadian gateways are Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport.

The airline also has operations at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport, and Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport, among others.

The airline operates passenger lounges in Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Toronto. All feature comfortable seating, high-speed Wi-Fi, bars, reading matter, and showers to help travellers freshen up. They are available for all Club Class (premium cabin) passengers. It is aligned with Premium Economy standards, and the product/service is good. Economy Class legroom is quite generous, but they have a higher density 9-across A330 which feels cramped. IFE is adequate on A330s, and they are starting to offer seatback screens on new A321NEO aircraft. Staff service is friendly, efficient and consistent.”

Named Best Leisure Airline in North America at the Skytrax World Airline Awards, it was also Certified as a 4-star Leisure Airline by Skytrax for the quality of its airport and onboard products and staff service.
