Biman Bangladesh Airlines, commonly known as Biman, is the national flag carrier of Bangladesh. Biman is the most prominent brand ambassador for Bangladesh. As one of the major stakeholders in the tourism sector of the country, Biman is making efforts to promote the beauty, heritage and tourist attractions of Bangladesh.

The headquarters of Biman is located in Kurmitola, in the northern part of Dhaka. 

Biman has been awarded the prestigious certificate of registration and accreditation under the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) program for ground handling operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Biman is certified as safe to fly in Europe by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.

In 2013, Biman signed an agreement with German e-ticketing company Hahn Air, enabling Biman's tickets to be purchased from anywhere around the world.

During his visit to Dhaka in September 2023, French President Emmanuel Macron and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the order of ten Airbus A350 aircraft for Biman. The Airbus order consists of the purchase by Biman Bangladesh Airlines of two A350F cargo aircraft and eight A350 passenger aircraft. 

Currently, Biman boasts one of South Asia's youngest and most modern aircraft fleets. Operating under the slogan “Your Home in the Sky,” Biman offers a broad network that directly connects passengers to 23 destinations worldwide. The airline flies to multiple locations in the Middle East, as well as destinations in South and Southeast Asia, and to London and Manchester in Europe. Looking ahead, Biman is committed to expanding its network even further.

Biman offers two travel services: Economy and Business. A two-class service (J and Y) is operated on most of Biman's aircraft. The Business Class cabin on its Boeing 777 is arranged in a 2–3–2 configuration, while the economy class cabin is set up in a 3–3–3 configuration. The narrow-body Boeing 737-800s' Business Class is set up in a 2–2 configuration while Economy Class is in a 3–3 arrangement. Business Class passengers of Biman Bangladesh Airlines have exclusive access to airport and hotel lounges around the globe.
 The airline is continuously improving the quality of its service including its in-flight entertainment. In addition to the Dreamliners (Boeing 787s), the Boeing 777s and 737-800 aircraft have also been fitted with world-class inflight entertainment (IFE) systems. 

Biman is Certified as a 3-Star Airline by Skytrax for the quality of its airport and onboard products and staff service. Product rating includes seats, amenities, food & beverages, IFE, cleanliness etc, and service rating is for both cabin staff and ground staff.
