Bulgaria Air is Certified as a 3-Star Airline by Skytrax for the quality of its airport and onboard products and staff service. On skytraxratings.com Skytrax left the following review: “Operating short-haul regional flights in Europe, Bulgaria Air product standards are fair, and they are one a few airlines in Europe providing proper 2×2 Business Class seats on some aircraft. Snacks in Economy are fair, and Business meals are also satisfactory. Cabin staff service, particularly in Economy Class could be improved as it lacks true hospitality. Airport services in Sofia are fair, but this is also an area where quality improvements are needed.”

Also, Bulgaria Air has a subsidiary airline Bul Air which is the charter brand of Bulgaria Air. Bul Air operates Boeing 737-300 aircraft, all of which are second-hand and previously flew with airlines like Norwegian, and Southwest Airlines, as well as parent company Bulgaria Air. It operates aircraft out of Bulgaria’s three main airports – Sofia, Bourgas and Varna – mostly on charter and regional services on behalf of parent Bulgaria Air and holiday companies.
