Launched in 1979, SriLankan is the National Carrier of Sri Lanka is the largest international airline serving the Maldives and with a significant presence in southern India too. The airline’s hub is at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo (CMB).

 SriLankan Airlines joined Oneworld in May 2014. It is an award winning airline with a solid reputation for service, comfort, safety, reliability, and punctuality. 

Under the slogan "You're Our World" SriLanka provides convenient connections to its global route network of 113 destinations in 51 countries. Its interline partnerships and the membership in Oneworld alliance allows it to offer passengers connectivity to over 1,000 cities in 160 countries.

SriLankan Airlines currently has an all-Airbus fleet of 24 modern, sophisticated aircraft which includes: Twelve A330 (long haul), Twelve A320/A321 aircraft (medium haul).

SriLankan offers two classes of service, Business Class and Economy Class. In Business Class, SriLankan offers full flat-bed seats on all of its long haul fleet with Audio Video on Demand (AVOD) facilities. On its A320 and A321 fleet, Business class is configured in a 2-2 layout, offering extra reclining seats, each seat with a width of 19 inches and a pitch between 39 and 49 inches.

SriLankan provides in-seat entertainment in Economy class on all its wide-bodied aircraft and the vast majority of narrow-body aircraft. On its A330-300 and A320/A321neo aircraft, all cabin classes are provided with the option of paid-for in-flight internet access and mobile telephony services.

SriLankan has mutual code-share services with Air Canada, Alitalia, Etihad Airways, Finnair, Japan Airlines, Jetstar Asia Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Myanmar Airways, Oman Air, Qantas, Qatar Airways and Air India.

SriLankan has received the 3-Star Airline rating from SKYTRAX for the quality of its airport and onboard product and staff service. Product rating includes seats, amenities, food & beverages, IFE, cleanliness etc, and service rating is for both cabin staff and ground staff.
