Tway Air

T'way Air (TW) is a South Korean low-cost airline operating domestic flights to Busan, Daegu, Jeju and Muan and International flights to Haiku, Nanning, Qingdao, Sanya, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Fukuoka, Okinawa, Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo, Vientiane, Macau, Cebu, Clark, Kaohsiung, Taipei, Bangkok, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh.

T'way Air was established on 8 August 2010 with two Boeing 737-800s. In the same year, the airline obtained an air operator's certificate (AOC) permitting domestic flights and commenced operations with services between Gimpo International Airport and Jeju International Airport.

In 2013, the airline achieved a profit for the first time. T'way Air introduced its seventh Boeing 737-800 aircraft in 2014. In April 2022, T'way Air received its first Airbus A330 and announced it would serve the connection between Incheon and Sydney, which was its first long-haul connection.

The airline’s A330-300s feature a high-density cabin configuration, including twelve seats in business class and the remaining 335 in economy.  Baggage allowance for economy class passengers varies based on fare type but is complementary.

Business class passengers enjoy two complimentary meals, complimentary checked-in luggage amounting to forty kilograms, two carry-on bags and an angled seat. While there is no in-flight entertainment, economy class seats have USB ports, while business class seats have power plugs.

Pre-ordered meals and seat selection are offered as ancillary services during the booking process.

T’way Air is Certified as a 3-Star Low-Cost Airline by Skytrax for the quality of its airport and onboard products and staff service. Product rating includes cabin comfort, baggage/seat charges, buying onboard food & beverages, cabin cleanliness, and service rating covers cabin and ground staff. On skytraxratings.com, Skytrax left the following review: “T’way Air provides a satisfactory low-cost airline experience and standards are close to meeting 4-Star. Seat legroom is adequate for short flights but comfort is weaker for longer routes to South Asia. There are good pre-order meal options but buy-on-board choice and pricing are limited. Staff are efficient and quite friendly, but the service is functional and less hospitable than some regional airlines.”
