Xiamen Airlines, branded as XiamenAir, was founded in 1984. It is China's first privately owned airline created under the modern corporate system headquartered in Xiamen City, Fujian Province. After 35 years of sustainable development, Xiamen Airlines has become an airline with distinctive characteristics in China’s civil aviation industry. The airline operates scheduled passenger flights out of Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN) and, to a lesser extent, Beijing Daxing International Airport (XMN), Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC) and Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH).
XiamenAir connects the world with excellence.
As a proud member of the SkyTeam Alliance, XiamenAir is at the forefront of global air travel, offering an extensive network that spans the globe. With over 350 domestic and international routes, the airline covers all of China while maintaining a strong presence across Southeast and Northeast Asia.
In recent years, XiamenAir has expanded its horizons by launching new intercontinental routes to iconic destinations such as Amsterdam, Sydney, New York, and Los Angeles, enhancing its network and offering passengers direct access to Europe, America, and Oceania. Thanks to the SkyTeam Alliance, travellers can seamlessly connect to major cities worldwide.
At the heart of XiamenAir’s success is its fleet, which is among the most modern in the region. With an impressive all-Boeing fleet—the largest of its kind in China—the airline ensures passengers enjoy comfort, safety, and reliability. As of January 2025, XiamenAir operates a fleet of 172 aircraft, with an average age of just 6 years, underscoring its commitment to quality and innovation in air travel.
XiamenAir continues to fulfil its mission of “taking more people to explore the world”. While maintaining existing advantages, XiamenAir will focus on transformation and innovation, expanding the navigation service chain and mass customer base, and building a regional network. Xiamen will also accelerate the coverage of intercontinental routes to provide customers with worthwhile travel experiences and realize the corporate vision of “excellent performance and steady growth”.
With its global aviation network and the world's only 787 Dreamliner with Sustainable Development Goals livery - United Dream, XiamenAir will share the concept of sustainable development with more than 100 million passengers by 2030, contributing even more Chinese efforts in building a community of shared futures for mankind.
From 2012 to 2019, XiamenAir has been voted by passengers as "the Chinese Airline with the Best Service".
