Air Arabia

Air Arabia is an Emirati low-cost airline with its head office in the Sharjah International Airport (SHJ). There are also hubs in Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RKT) and Zayed International Airport (AUH), and focus cities in Alexandria and Casablanca.

The airline offers passengers comfort, reliability, and value for money air travel across its network. With the value proposition "Where Next," it aims to help customers fly more often to more places at their convenience.

Air Arabia is the first publicly listed airline in the Middle East, providing the carrier with an independent path to growth and profitability.

Air Arabia has a livery with the aircraft body being painted in three different colours: red, grey, and white. The tail and each aircraft engine bear the company logo of Sharjah in the form of a bird.

The airline operates scheduled services to 170 destinations in the Middle East, North Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Central Asia, and Europe to 22 countries from Sharjah, 28 destinations in 9 countries from Casablanca, Fez, Nador, and Tangier, 11 destinations in 8 countries from Ras Al Khaimah, and 6 destinations in 4 countries from Alexandria.

Air Arabia currently operates two aircraft types, the Airbus A320 and A321neo Long Range.

All aircraft cabin interiors are fitted with world-class comfort seats, offering one of the most spacious economy cabin seat pitches (measured from the same point on one seat to the same point on the seat in front).

Air Arabia is proud to operate a modern and efficient fleet, ensuring a comfortable journey for its passengers. The airline's current fleet comprises 41 new Airbus A320 aircraft and 9 Airbus A321neo LR jets. These aircraft are all part of the industry-leading Airbus A320 family, renowned for its performance and reliability.

The Airbus A321neo LR stands out, offering an enhanced experience with its new engine option (NEO) and expanded seating capacity. This design optimises cabin space and makes it the longest-range single-aisle airliner available today. Each of Air Arabia's new A321neo LR aircraft will feature 215 seats, all while maintaining Air Arabia's commitment to an industry-leading seat pitch that passengers already appreciate.

Onboard Air Arabia has Sky Café, which is an in-flight kitchen with a large menu with a selection of sandwiches, salads, freshly baked pizzas, snacks, beverages and cold drinks. Passengers can benefit from this onboard service by paying a small amount.

Air Arabia has an in-flight shopping centre, famous as Sky Mall, which provides a range of duty-free articles, keepsakes and luxury items for passengers to purchase for themselves or to take back home.

Air Arabia holds a 3-Star Low-Cost Airline certification from Skytrax, recognising the quality of its airport and onboard products, as well as its staff service.

According to a Skytrax review on skytraxratings.com, Air Arabia, as a low-cost carrier, maintains strict policies regarding baggage weight and size. The cabin seating is deemed suitable for low-cost flights spanning 3-4 hours, offering a comfortable 32-inch seat pitch. Pre-ordered and onboard food options are noted as reasonable and affordably priced. While cabin staff service is described as fair, there can occasionally be issues with the cleanliness of the cabin and washrooms. Passengers can enjoy good streaming Wi-Fi entertainment options, which is a strong point for a low-cost airline in the region. However, Skytrax identifies airport service standards as an area for improvement.
