Etihad Airways (شَرِكَة ٱلْاِتِّحَاد لِلطَّيْرَان‎) is the second flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates after Emirates. Its head office is in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi and its main base is Abu Dhabi International Airport. Etihad commenced operations in November 2003. Since 2003, Etihad Airways has evolved from a regional carrier into a global aviation challenger. Through creativity and innovation, Etihad Aviation Group is committed to providing choice and value – in Abu Dhabi and around the world.

 

Etihad Aviation Group is a diverse, global aviation and travel group made up of five business divisions: Operations, Human Resources & Organisational Development, Finance, Digital Technology & Innovation and Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO).


From cargo aircraft to the new-generation aircraft (Boeing 787), Etihad Airways' choice of fleet always makes flying with Etihad Airways exciting. Onboard, you’ll experience choice, comfort and leading hospitality, with cleverly designed seats, the latest entertainment and mouth-watering food. The airline operates more than 1,000 flights per week to over 120 passenger and cargo destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America, with a fleet of 102 Airbus and Boeing aircraft as of February 2020. 

 

 

 

In addition to its core activity of passenger transportation, Etihad also operates Etihad Holidays and Etihad Cargo. Etihad established its airline alliance, Etihad Airways Partners, in October 2015 which was disbanded in 2018. Booking for these airlines is consolidated under one network.
