Aer Lingus is the flag carrier of Ireland founded by the Irish Government in 1936 that was privatized between 2006 and 2015 and it is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of International Airlines Group (IAG). The airline's head office is on the grounds of Dublin Airport in Cloghran, County Dublin.
It operates to over 107 destinations operating in the UK and Europe. Aer Lingus flies 16 direct routes to North America: New York (JFK), Newark/New Jersey, Boston, Washington DC, Hartford/Connecticut, Philadelphia, Orlando/Florida, Miami, Florida, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle

Aer Lingus has codeshares with Oneworld, Star Alliance and SkyTeam members, as well as interline agreements with Etihad Airways, JetBlue Airways and United Airlines.
The name “Aer Lingus” is derived from the Gaelic term “aer loingeas” which means “air fleet.”
The new brand identity supports Aer Lingus’ ambition to be the leading value carrier across the North Atlantic.
Aer Lingus's new logo retains but restyles the iconic shamrock, adding a tilt to symbolise dynamism and speed, with heart-shaped leaves reflecting the warmth and hospitality of the brand.
As of August 2021, Aer Lingus operates a modern all-Airbus fleet. The commercial fleet consists of comprising 60 aircraft:

The Irish carrier also has a cargo division providing freight transport within the UK, continental Europe, and the USA. Thanks to interline agreements with other companies (Stobart Air, Jetblue Airways, United Airlines), it offers many connections to Great Britain, the United States, and Canada.

Aer Lingus has a new loyalty program: AerClub. AerClub allows members to collect Avios reward points ‘in the air’, every time they book flights, ‘on the ground’ and ‘online’ from a wide range of brands including retail, hotels and car hire, across Ireland, Europe and North America. AerClub members will collect Avios points each time they buy a flight with Aer Lingus and its partner airlines - British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Qantas and United Airlines
Aer Lingus is Ireland’s only 4-Star airline, awarded by Skytrax, the international air transport rating organisation for the quality of its airport and onboard product and staff service. Product rating includes seats, amenities, food & beverages, IFE, cleanliness etc, and service rating is for both cabin staff and ground staff.
