Egypt Air

Egyptair is the state-owned flag carrier of Egypt which established in May of 1932, it became the seventh carrier in the world.The airline is headquartered at Cairo International Airport, its main hub, operating scheduled passenger and freight services to 81 destinations in Africa, Europe, Asia, and The Americas.

Egyptair is a member of Star Alliance network, the largest airline alliance in the world, which offers its customers better flight connections and more comfortable travel. EGYPTAIR’s membership to the Star Alliance network is unique in that it is the only airline that is based in North Africa and Middle East that is part of the network.

The airline's logo is Horus, the sky deity in ancient Egyptian mythology, chosen because of its ancient symbolism as a "winged god of the sun", and usually depicted as a falcon or a man with the head of a falcon.

The airline now operates a fleet of 24 Airbus and 41 Boeing aircraft. The airline deserves kudos for investing in new aircraft both for long and short haul flights. Passengers flying on the handful of Egyptair Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners or Airbus A320 Neos can count themselves lucky, as these new jets represent a significant improvement over the rest of the fleet.

Egyptair offers 2 cabin classes: Economy Class and Business Class. Each class has its own benefits and in-flight facilities.
 

• Economy Class: it is comfortable for the budget traveller with onboard service, whether flying short or long haul.
  
  Refreshments including tea and coffee are provided in Economy Class. Lunch made with fresh ingredients from salads and pasta to grilled chicken is provided on longer flight journeys.

• Business Class: it is available on all long-haul flights. Flying with Business Class means you can relax in a dedicated Airport Lounge, and enjoy a pre-flight meal. The seats are designed to offer premium comfort. Passengers will receive an amenities pack and can sit back and enjoy a personal flat-screen TV. A specialised in-flight menu will also be served.
   

Egyptair is Certified as a 3-star airline rating by Skytrax for the quality of its airport and onboard product and staff service. Product rating includes seats, amenities, food & beverages, IFE, cleanliness etc, and service rating is for both cabin staff and ground staff.
