Juneyao Air is an airline headquartered in Changning. The airline operates both domestic and international services from two airports. It is a young airline with ambitions to grow from its Shanghai Hongqiao base. Founded in 2006, Juneyao Air is one of the leading private-owned carriers in China, and the first Connecting Partner of Star Alliance. Currently, the airline reaches nearly 200 destinations in Asia and Europe, with a modern fleet of 92 aircraft, comprising narrow-bodied Airbus A320s and wide-bodied Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.

Juneyao Air made history by being the first Chinese private-owned carrier to operate intercontinental flights in June 2019, linking Shanghai and Helsinki daily. The airline is currently operating six aircraft of this type from its largest hub in Shanghai, four further are expected to be delivered shortly.

The airline has invested in new Boeing 787 aircraft and continues to improve its service quality. Juneyao Air’s flagship - the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner features two cabins of service offering comfortable ergonomic seating, enhanced definition intuitive touch personal entertainment screens and wireless internet access.


Juneyao Airlines is Certified as a 3-Star Airline by Skytrax for the quality of its airport and onboard products and staff service. Product rating includes seats, amenities, food & beverages, IFE, cleanliness etc, and service rating is for cabin staff and ground staff.
