Pegasus has been flying for 20 years and is Turkey's most established private airline. It is a low-cost carrier headquartered in the Kurtköy area of Pendik, Istanbul with bases at several Turkish airports.

Pegasus provides reasonably-priced transportation opportunities on a point-to-point basis in short and medium-range flight lines and aims to set up a wide flight network with high flight frequency for guests.

Pegasus Airlines' fleet consists of 94 aircraft. Pegasus' fleet consists of 33 Boeing B737 - 800, 42 Airbus A320 - 200neo, 12 A320-200ceo, 7 Airbus A321-200neo.

Pegasus Airlines operates a one-class interior configuration on all of its aircraft. A "Flying Cafe" is available to all passengers whereby food and beverages are provided for an additional charge.

Pegasus Airlines has codeshare agreements with the following airlines: Alitalia, Flynas, KLM.

Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi A.S, which was founded as a joint venture company in 1990 by Aer Lingus Group, Silkar Yatirim ve Insaat Organizasyonu A.S. and Net Holding A.S., entered into commercial operation with two airplanes.

After being acquired in 2005 by Esas Holding A.S., Pegasus started scheduled domestic flights in November of the same year and became the 4th top among the scheduled airlines operating in Turkey.

In 2011, Pegasus Airline increased its flight network to 19 destinations within Turkey and 30 internationally – a total of 49 in 22 countries.

In 2013, according to the final structure of partnership after the Initial Public Offering, 34.5 % of shares were floating in Borsa Istanbul using the code 'PGSUS' and 65.5% belonged to Esas Holding A.S.
