Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is one of the best airlines in the Middle East. It is very popular all over the world due to its high level of service. Arabs are traditionally hospitable, so their passengers, as guests, are put at the top of mind. The airline connects more than 130 destinations on the map every day, with a fleet of more than 200 aircraft of the latest-generation aircraft, and an unrivalled level of service from the home and hub, the 5-star airport, Hamad International Airport in Doha, the State of Qatar.

The logo contains the name of the airline, inscribed in the Arabic script and Latin. Next to the inscription is a white oryx - a kind of antelope - which is a national animal of Qatar.

The slogan of the airline is “Taking you more personally”.

Qatar Airways was established on 22 November 1993. The carrier has been a member of the Oneworld alliance since October 2013, the first Persian Gulf carrier to sign with one of the three airline alliances

Qatar Airways is the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar. The company is fully owned by the Qatari government. In March 2019, the Qatar Airways Group employed more than 45,000 people, of whom 32,000 worked directly for the airline.

The head of Qatar Airways called on the world’s two major plane makers to ease demands that ailing carriers accept delivery of new aircraft, saying future relationships are at stake.

Airbus SE and Boeing Co. should allow the deferral of handovers until at least 2022, Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker told Bloomberg TV. Qatar Airways has about $50 billion of orders outstanding, based on list prices.

“What is important is for Boeing and Airbus to show their customers that they are not only there with them in good times, but also in bad,” he said in the interview. “If they don’t oblige, they will permanently lose us as a customer.”

Since our launch in 1997, Qatar Airways has earned many awards and accolades, becoming one of an elite group of airlines worldwide to have earned a 5-star rating by Skytrax for the quality of its airport and onboard product and staff service. Cabin seating and amenities, food & beverages and IFE are setting or meeting global Best Practices, supported by 5-Star cabin staff service. Qatar Airways operates from the 5-Star hub of Hamad International Airport in Doha.
