During this experience we will honor the man who became known as the “Father of Modern Science”, Galileo Galilei. Born in 1564 towards the end of the Renaissance Era, Galileo would grow up to be one of the most recognizable scientists in history his inventions and ideas would be some of the major factors that set the path of transitioning into the Modern Science Era. This tour will travel to the special places in Florence that testify to his greatness as an astronomer, physicist, and engineer. The tour guide will first get everyone together then we will head towards the Museo Galileo, the Museum of Science. This famous museum dedicated to Galileo holds around 1500 unique scientific instruments from the past. There even is a section entirely devoted to Galileo. He was a man of many wonders and deserves a section for his studies. This museum is where you can see the two famous telescopes used by Galileo that changed the worlds view on the cosmos and find his middle finger taken from his tomb still on display.
