Klagenfurt Airport is a primary international airport near Klagenfurt: it's the sixth-largest city in Austria. The airport is in the borough of Annabichl, 1.5 NM north-east of the city centre. The apron of Klagenfurt provides several stands for mid-sized planes such as the Airbus A320 and smaller general aviation aircraft. As there are no jet bridges, buses are used for boarding.

Klagenfurt Airport consists of one small passenger terminal building which features some shops and restaurants as well as a visitors' terrace.

In the departure area, before the security check, there is the bistro "Gravity": it is the perfect place for passengers as well as visitors at the airport for a culinary "stopover".

Gravity offers a wide selection of hot and cold beverages, as well as sweet and savoury snacks. In addition, all standard tobacconists are also offered. Food and beverages are welcome to be consumed on-site, but can also be taken away.

Klagenfurt has a café where you can make yourself comfortable before departure. In a relaxed atmosphere, a wide variety of items can be consumed directly after the security check in the gate area. In addition to coffee, tea and various chilled drinks, you can also choose between savoury snacks and sweet specialities.

In the departure lounge of Klagenfurt, there is the „Buy and Fly“ shop: it offers a high-quality selection of perfumes, souvenirs, tobacco products, sweets, Carinthian specialities, and much more.

Right next to the main entrance of the airport is located the AckerBox: it brings together the best products from farmers, manufacturers and small businesses from the immediate region and, with its self-service technology, ensures convenient and very simple shopping. The assortment includes over 200 regional delicacies, drinks, snacks, and of course, numerous gift ideas.  

The train station "Klagenfurt-Annabichl" is a 5–10 minute walk from the terminal and offers suburban rail services every half-hour to St.Veit to Klagenfurt main station, to the villages along Lake Wörthersee, and Villach.

The airport's exit is Klagenfurt Flughafen on the nearby motorway A2, which leads to Vienna and Italy. A regular suburban bus service connects the airport with the city centre including the Klagenfurt central station. There is also a coach connection between Klagen.
