Paphos International Airport
Paphos International Airport (PFO) is a joint civil-military public airport located approximately 4 miles south-east of the city of Paphos, on the sun-washed Mediterranean island of Cyprus. As the country’s second-busiest airport after Larnaca, it plays a vital role in welcoming travellers to the western side of the island.
The airport is especially popular with leisure travellers, offering convenient access to Paphos, the resort area of Coral Bay, and the wider region — including Limassol, located about 31 miles to the south-east. For many visitors, Paphos Airport is the first step into Cyprus’s relaxed coastal rhythm.
Despite its compact size, Paphos International Airport is well equipped to serve modern travellers. The terminal features 28 check-in desks, a dedicated special baggage counter, seven boarding gates, and 22 aircraft stands.
Inside the terminal, passengers will find a range of amenities including restaurants, cafés, bars, duty-free shopping, gift shops, and basic banking services. Additional facilities include a tourist information desk, car-rental services, first-aid support, baby and parent rooms, and full accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility.
Cargo operations are supported by refrigerated storage, health inspection facilities, X-ray equipment, as well as loading platforms and forklifts, ensuring efficient handling of freight.
Public transport links connect the airport with the city and the surrounding areas. Bus 612 operates regular services between Harbour Station in central Paphos and the bus stop opposite the terminal. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes, with a fare of around €1.50. Services run from early morning until late evening on weekdays, with reduced schedules during the winter months (December to March).
From Paphos’ main bus terminal, travellers can access routes to other parts of Cyprus.
Taxis are readily available outside the terminal building, offering a direct and comfortable transfer into the city. Taxi fares to Paphos typically start at around €35, depending on destination and time of day.
For Magelline, Paphos International Airport feels like a soft landing in Cyprus. Sunlit, unhurried, and close to the sea, it welcomes travellers without noise or rush — a quiet threshold between sky and Mediterranean calm, where the journey begins gently.
